Role Description The Assistant Manager role at Old Navy in Webster, NY is a full-time, on-site position responsible for supporting daily store operations and driving an excellent customer experience. This role helps lead and motivate the sales team, ensures efficient floor coverage, and supports scheduling to meet business needs. The Assistant Manager oversees visual merchandising standards, supports inventory management, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include coaching team members, resolving customer concerns, monitoring sales goals, and assisting in opening and closing procedures. The role collaborates closely with Store Management to execute company initiatives, support training, and foster an inclusive, results-driven culture. Qualifications Experience in retail, customer service, or hospitality with skills in team supervision, coaching, and performance feedback. Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills to support customers and collaborate with diverse team members. Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Comfort with basic sales metrics, point-of-sale systems, and operational processes such as inventory and cash handling. Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and creating a welcoming environment for all customers and employees. Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Prior supervisory or lead experience in a retail setting is preferred.
