Client: Johnson & Johnson

Location: 100 percent remote (client location - Skillman, NJ)

Duration: 6 months contract to hire

Need candidates with at least 1-3 years real world (industry) experience.

2 openings – Need to have Python experience for both the openings.

#1 Opening – Python with Azure experience

#2 Opening – Python with GCP experience

IV Process: Two step interview process mostly technical interview

Must have’s:

• Cloud experience (Azure OR GCP)

Data Engineer Specifics:

Project Details:

• Working to upgrade and fix data architecture with best practices
• Will be about 10-15% hands-on data engineering (Building out POCs and helping with implementation) but primarily will be focused on building out architecture design and plans and then directing data engineering teams on implementation portion
• Need to be able to be vocal and push the team on architecture best practices
• Will work across the cloud environments and teams supported
• Need to improve data mesh and data fabric and make sure that they are set up for being able to exchange and interchange data through APIs for external connections as well as able to safely store and catalog data internally and have it accessible for digital initiatives
• Help to avoid data duplication and organize the data
• Looking more for strong data principles experience versus specific tools/cloud data services – more general knowledge/fundamentals

What are the top must-have technologies/required experience for the position?

Both roles:

Python (data side – Pandas or similar data framework experience)

They use a mix of data frameworks but need python knowledge

Position #1:

Azure Data Services - Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse, Azure DataBricks

Must at least have ADF/DataBricks - Synapse highly preferred and other Data services

Position #2:

Google Cloud experience - Big Query, Google Marketing Cloud, etc.

Must at least have some Google marketing experience for this role as well as other GCP data services

Level of experience target (junior/mid/senior and/or years of experience): Junior to mid accepted (1-2+ years out of college as minimum – must have at least some professional experience)

Must Have: Python Cloud experience Azure or GCP

Project need - They support the cloud data layer and data operations across the company - Multi-cloud environment or Digital Marketing, Google cloud (Big Query, Google Marketing cloud, etc.)

Customer/Sales 90% Azure (ADF, Databricks, Synapse) o Ecommerce – AWS based primarily Hybrid in Skillman is ideal.
