SOFTWARE ENGINEER - Offensive/Defensive Cyber Operations - 7+ yrs of Experience - TS/SCI w/Poly c

Halogen Engineering Group is looking for a <\/span><\/span> Software Engineer who can perform vulnerability research with a focus on OCO (Offensive Cyber Operations) and DCO (Defensive Cyber Operations) activities. Job duties are as follows: <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Work with customers directly performing full cycle system engineering, gathering requirements and source code, to technical documentation and specifications. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  
  
• Perform long term, in\-depth vulnerability assessments using reverse engineering, kernel debugging, and exploitation technologies. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  
  
• Create and exhaust every technical avenue to uncover weaknesses of the system and exploit them. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  
  
• Perform software development tasks and assist in the design and architecture of software applications individually or as a team member <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  
  
• Develop production quality software based on pre\-defined software requirements and designs <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  
  
• Review, analyze, and modify programming systems to include coding, testing, debugging, installing, and documenting to support organization's software applications <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Implement software development process improvement activities in accordance with organizational procedures <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  
  
• Develop unit and integration tests and test plans for software applications and prepare software test reports <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

      <\/span><\/span> Strong understanding of the Windows and Linux Operating System internals and APIs <\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span> Knowledge of analyzing shell code, packed and obfuscated and the associated algorithms a plus <\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span> Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Pearl, etc <\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span> Experience in host and network analysis to identify and characterize anomalies and vulnerabilities in the platform <\/span><\/span><\/span>
