Respiratory Therapist Position

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Tallahassee, FL where you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The Respiratory team rotates through all inpatient units and two 10-bed ICUs and works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current state Respiratory Therapist license in good standing with the State License Board.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Minimum one year experience as an RRT; experience in critical care or emergency care preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
• Experience with mechanical ventilation, BiPAP management, aerosol treatments, and airway management.
• Familiarity with Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Phillips V60, Vapotherm, and bedside ABG analyzers preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech documentation system.
• Previous work in a 24/7 acute-care hospital setting with ICU and emergency services.
• Ability to perform advanced procedures such as intubation and assist with bedside bronchoscopy.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Scheduling requirements: minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends.
• Floating policy: will rotate throughout all inpatient units.
