Engineering Manager

Job Overview Build and maintain a team of discipline engineers with varied specialties to assist Asset Teams and other support teams by providing engineering services throughout the organization. Responsibilities Build and maintain a strong team of discipline engineers (electrical, instrumentation, process, structural, fire & gas, mechanical & other disciplines as needed). Adjust the makeup of the team and disciplines accordingly. Assess each discipline engineer’s strengths and weaknesses, set clear expectations for improving technical skills and effective interactions with multiple teams. Provide clear expectations and hold team members individually accountable for meeting their goals and showing results. Provide honest feedback and coaching to team members, encouraging individual growth and increasing capabilities. Build a team atmosphere where each member feels valued and understands their importance to the organization. Assist asset teams and project managers in assessing, scoping, and supporting project development with the discipline engineers; create standard development stages for effective project execution. Participate in the coordination of monthly employee open‑book management meetings and executive reports, responsible for preparing schedules, presentations, and meeting materials as needed. During the company’s closing process, responsibly distribute monthly internal financial reports, analyze and review the reports for accuracy, and prepare and book operating expenses and AFE accruals. Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations. Adhere to established work schedule, attendance standards, and be punctual to work and meetings. Qualifications Fifteen (15) years minimum of engineering experience. Experience in a management or supervisory role preferred. Ability to accurately solve problems and exceptional proficiency in data management. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other departments. Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities without close supervision. Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable manner. Excellent administrative and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Outlook). Strong working knowledge of SAP, Workday, Auto CAD, GAP modeling (preferred). Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four‑year university or college with a degree in engineering. Certification, Licenses, Registration PE preferred but not required.
