Production TechnicianThe Bandag plant in Abilene has been in operation for over 50 years, producing tread rubber and retreading materials for Bandag dealers. Bandag is a critical piece of Bridgestone dedicated to the research, development, and manufacturing of premium retread tires. Bridgestone seeks energetic and motivated night-shift Production Technicians to join our manufacturing team in Abilene, TX. Pay:• Starting pay $22.95/hour with guaranteed progression increases.• Automatic pay increases at regular intervals—every 3 to 6 months—and progressing to $28.14/hr in 24 months• Tenure-based pay steps at 5 and 10 years to reward long-term commitment.• Specialized roles available, offering even higher earning potential up to $31.66/hour• Shift Premiums available• Additional Incentive for Perfect Attendance• Long-Term Bonus Program• Paid WeeklyJob Responsibilities:A focus on Safety First, Always!Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing production equipmentMove, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goodsMonitor the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty productsMaintain accurate daily production recordsOther duties as assignedPhysical Requirements:Lifting requirements may be up to 130 lbs. on an occasional basis. Lifting requirements range from a height of 3-5 feet.Medium physical effort is required to maneuver through out departments that include climbing stairs; in addition, a considerable amount of standing is necessaryPreferred Skills and Experience:Preferred 2 years of employment stability.Preferred 1 year manufacturing experience.Minimum QualificationsMust possess a High School diploma/GED, or equivalent, (completed and verified prior to start).At Bridgestone, you are Free to BeWe believe people can only provide superior service and quality to others when they bring their whole self to work.
