Successful Candidate Collaborates with physicians to evaluate patient readiness for change in level of care. Responsible for the assessment, treatment care, and education of patients. Cares for ICU, Medical Surgical, and telemetry patients as necessary. Conducts risk assessment, prevention and treatment of pressure injuries. Interprets and operates cardiac and other invasive and noninvasive monitors, recognizes normal/abnormal rhythms/trends, and institutes appropriate interventions. Provides care for patients with complex needs including hemodynamically compromised and mechanically ventilated patients. Initiates and maintains complex IV therapy, including thrombolytic administration, vasoactive medications, central IV catheters, dialysis catheters, and arterial lines. Safe use of less invasive, life‑supporting modalities such as BiPAP, ETCO₂, arterial pressure‑based CO/CI & SVO₂ monitor, core temperature monitors. Provides care for patients with IV lines, arterial lines, central lines, ports, chest tubes, pleural catheters, tracheostomy tubes, and endotracheal tubes. Maintains and cares for patients with an ostomy/ileostomy and urostomy. Provides care, assessment, and monitoring for patients with patient‑controlled analgesia (PCA) and epidural catheters. Demonstrates basic knowledge of chemotherapeutic/immunotherapeutic agents. Must be able to work 3 × 12‑hour shifts, 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Qualifications 1 year experience in ICU/Inpatient nursing. Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent. Arizona Registered Nurse License or a Registered Nurse License from a Compact State. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – required upon hire. If current certification does not meet the guidelines, employees will have 30 days from hire to complete an onsite BLS course and must renew every two years. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification – employees must obtain AHA ACLS within 30 days of hire and renew every two years. Will not provide ACLS independently until the certification is obtained. Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Fundamentals of Chemotherapy / Immunotherapy Administration Card – within six months of hire and renewal every two years. City of Hope is an equal‑opportunity employer.
