CompensationMount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.Status: Full Time RegularShift: DAY SHIFTDepartment: Lactation Resource CenterPosition SummarySummary:The Parent Child Education/Lactation Center Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of an effective Parent/Child Education and Lactation Program within the organization. In addition, the Manager assumes an active role, representing MSSN, in the promotion of the program within the community. The purpose of the Parent/Child Education and Lactation Programs is to meet the needs of families in both normal and special situations and to promote practices that foster the optimal growth and development of infants.QualificationsResponsibilities:Education Required • Must complete in-house orientation program • Must complete internal Nursing Orientation program • Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Professional Nursing • BSN and MA or MS in Nursing or healthcare-related major Experience And Skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Speaks, reads and writes English • Minimum 3 years of perinatal/neonatal nursing and/or IBCLC clinical experience, baby friendly experience preferred • Effective verbal and written communicationLicense/Certifications • Current and valid New York State registration authorizing practice as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) Certifications required: • IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) required by end of probationary period • BLS (all RNs) • NRP (perinatal RNs)Working ConditionsOther information:Working Conditions• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn• Frequent, prolonged standing/walking• Lifts, positions and/or transfers patients/equipment.Job SummaryJob Type: FTEmployment Type: EMPLOYEELocation: Oceanside, NY, US
