Senior Software Engineer

Your RoleDesign, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software as part of an interdisciplinary team.Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.Participate in code reviews by providing timely feedback to peers in a constructive manner.Collaborate with 219ers across engineering disciplines during development.Advise less experienced engineers on the team on software design and development practices.Define and execute tasks required to complete projects with well-defined or open-ended requirements.Participate in weekly Software Discussion meetings to discuss best practices and share project triumphs and struggles that could benefit from the input of others.Chime in on our Slack channels when you see an opportunity to help out a colleague.Maintain awareness of the bigger picture context for 219 Design and our clients while executing tasks.Share your skills and knowledge with the team by participating in and presenting at weekly discussions. QualificationsBS degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a similar field of study, or equivalent work experience4+ years of experience as a software engineerProficiency with C++ developmentTrack record of success with the development of complex systemsExcited and able to work on medical and other safety-critical devicesExceptional communication skillsCollaborative, but can also handle autonomy and self-managementMust be able to come into one of our offices and/or client offices in the Bay Area.Authorized to work in the US without sponsorshipBonus PointsExperience with GUI development using the Qt FrameworkProficiency with bare-metal firmware for microcontrollers in C and/or C++Experience with test-driven developmentExperience with embedded systemsBenefitsChanging jobs is a big deal!
