Direct Sales Representative

The Direct Sales Representative is responsible for achieving company sales objectives within the car wash equipment industry. This role focuses on acquiring new accounts while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships through the sale of equipment, chemicals, service, and digital solutions.

This is a remote position within the designated sales region and requires travel throughout the territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire new accounts and retain and grow existing customers within the assigned sales territory.
• Apply consultative selling techniques to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Conduct site analyses and develop business cases, presentations, and proposals for customers and prospects.
• Sell capital equipment alongside chemical, service, and digital solutions.
• Prospect, cold call, and develop new business opportunities throughout the territory.
• Manage the full sales process from initial prospecting through closing.
• Implement company sales strategies and coordinate sales activities using CRM software.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned and prospective customers.
• Act as a customer advocate internally, coordinating with appropriate teams to support customer needs.
• Develop strong knowledge of the car wash industry, market dynamics, and available product and service solutions.
• Track customer and prospect activity, opportunities, and sales metrics within Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or 24 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of capital equipment sales experience with a demonstrated track record of success.
• Significant experience with cold calling, prospecting, business development, and closing sales.
• Strong understanding of business planning, budgeting, and market penetration strategies.
• Ability to understand financial reports and concepts, including contribution margins, profit and loss statements, budgeting, and return on investment calculations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend business and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software.
