Internal Auditor

Job Summary Collect and analyze data to conduct audits detecting deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non‑compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies. Prepare reports on findings. Conduct internal audits to review policies and procedures. Identify risks in each audit area and may initiate investigations to mitigate losses and strengthen controls. Recommend improvements in procedures, processes and operations across the organization. Interact and interview all levels of management. Additional Duties Conduct audits with all levels of management and staff throughout the organization. Identify risks within each audit area. Develop an audit program with specific testing criteria to evaluate risks and controls within the audit area. Recommend improvements in procedures, processes and operations across the organization. Draft and issue reports and other formal communications on the results of each audit. Experience and Qualifications Minimum 2 years job‑related work experience in excess of degree requirements. Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible experience in auditing. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent education and experience. Preferred certifications: CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor). Work Location Taylor, TX office – 2days a week on site.
