Role Overview

As a Senior Revenue Engineer on the Internal team, you’ll own the applications and logic that move, track, and reconcile every dollar flowing through our marketplace. You’ll design the financial backbone of modern freight, building real-time payments, settlements, wallets, and reporting across a high-velocity logistics network. Here, you will have the unique opportunity to not only work alongside AI, but to creatively apply novel AI solutions to legacy freight and financial problems that have frustrated the industry for decades.

You’ll partner directly with Product, Finance, Operations, and company leadership to architect financial infrastructure that demands absolute precision, reliability, and scale. This is not a maintenance role; it’s deep, hands-on engineering at the intersection of fintech, AI, and physical logistics.

What You’ll Do

• Financial Infrastructure: Engineer and evolve the core backend software that powers our payments, settlements, reporting, and ERP connections.
• Document Automation: Partner with our Data and AI teams to architect automation workflows that ingest, interpret, and reconcile large volumes of financial documents with minimal human intervention.
• Integration Ownership: Build and maintain deep integrations with modern payment processors and enterprise finance platforms, ensuring reliable, high-fidelity data flows across the business.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner across engineering, product, finance, and operations to design financial workflows that are fast, precise, and resilient under scale.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and eliminate backend bottlenecks, operational risks, and data quality issues before they affect our ledger.
• Operational Tooling: Build internal tools, dashboards, and automations that give our finance and ops teams complete visibility and control over transactional states.
• System Optimization: Lead deep dives into data accuracy, core reliability, and performance optimization to ensure every single transaction is accounted for perfectly.

What You Bring

• 4+ Years of Hardcore Backend Experience: Proven track record building, scaling, or maintaining transactional financial systems where accuracy and strict reliability are non-negotiable.
• Infrastructure Architecture: Hands-on experience architecting and provisioning resilient product infrastructure, distributed services, and high-throughput data pipelines that back critical business logic.
• Domain Context: A strong mental model of accounting concepts, ledgers, double-entry tracking, and financial data models.
• Core Integration Competency: Hands-on experience integrating with modern payment processors (such as Stripe) and enterprise finance/ERP platforms (such as NetSuite).
• System Design Fundamentals: You think naturally in data structures, algorithms, and system design. You understand how to reason through complex state machines, race conditions, and asynchronous, event-driven architectures.
• Pragmatic Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical instincts; you dig past the surface level until the root cause of a data discrepancy or system failure is found and permanently fixed.
• Clear Communication: Thoughtful communication and a collaborative mindset that helps cross-functional teams execute and ship high-quality software quickly.
