About the role

The Research Scientist will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale RL experiments for improving code agents. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in post-training state-of-the art large language models and has a track record of driving projects from start to finish.

• Conduct research and develop models to improve coding agents
• Design and implement large-scale RL experiments
• Collaborate with and lead other researchers and engineers to identify research questions and prioritize projects.
• Mentor more junior researchers and research residents.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in reinforcement learning and software engineering research.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing and scaling large-scale reinforcement learning algorithms for post-training language models.
• Core IC and leadership contributions to projects delivering strong language models.
• Strong programming skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.

While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

• Experience in post-training for software engineering
• PhD in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong publication record in top-tier conferences and journals

Pay Range: $300,000 USD - $365,000 USD
