Job Description

The Unit Secretary is responsible for nursing unit communication. Functions include serving as a receptionist, maintaining patient records, and transcribing and communicating physician orders as well as maintaining order at the nursing station. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a Unit Secretary preferred. None required. Previous work experience in a medical environment preferred. Experience with office equipment desirable.
