Maintenance Mechanic - Reno, NV

Shift: Monday - Thursday 3:15 PM - 1:45 AM, overtime as needed. We’re seeking a skilled MaintenanceMechanic to support daily plant operations. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals with a trades background or recent technical school graduates. Positive, eager to learn, and ready to grow in their career. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on belts, piping, filters, mixers, conveyors, valves, bearings, and seals. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment to resolve and prevent issues Maintain and repair pumps, motors, drives, conveyors, pneumatics, and production equipment Install and service control devices, sensors, and motor control systems Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred) and 480V 3-phase electrical systems Read and work from blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documents Qualifications 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance or skilled trades experience Vocational/Trade school equates 2 years of work/field experience for this role Must be 18 years of age, High school diploma or GED required Strong Mechanical and Electrical Troubleshooting skills Experience with hand tools and power tools Ability to read technical drawings and work independently Basic computer skills such as MS Office applications; CMMS experience a plus Fabrication and Welding experience a plus Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, climb ladders, work at heights, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, noisy, or industrial environments Soft Skills / Reliability Demonstrated sense of urgency and ownership Strong attendance and reliability Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to communicate effectively with operations, production, and leadership teams Solution oriented Safety & Compliance Follow all plant safety policies, OSHA regulations such as lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, PPE requirements, etc. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards Safely work around chemicals, pumps, tanks, and pressurized systems Participate in safety meetings, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives Do you want to add a little color to your career?
