Duties/Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, lubrication and other tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Perform emissions inspections, safety checks and similar state‑regulated vehicle examinations. Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed. Read, interpret, and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records. Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed. Maintain a clean, safe working environment. Required Skills/Abilities Understanding of automotive systems. Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools including power tools. Willingness to learn with hands‑on training. Ability to maintain a professional appearance. Ability to provide friendly customer service. Education and Experience Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training preferred. Working knowledge of state inspection guidelines, particularly those concerning emissions and safety, is advantageous. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. ASE certifications required. Physical Requirements May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs. Good hand‑eye coordination. Prolonged periods of standing. Frequent reaching, bending, squatting, pulling and lifting.
