Pay Rate: $2,500.00 - $2,700.00 gross per week

Number of Positions: 2

Start Date: 3 wks after offer

Travel: Client has onsite housing & shared housing

Assignment Length: 13 + weeks

EMR: Cerner

Schedule: 3x12s, 7p-7a or 7a-7p ; Nights

Additional Details about the position

• RNs work ER/IP  
• 5 beds in the ED
• 10 beds for IP
• Very separate depts and separate locations
• 2 RNs, CNAs, ER MDs are staffed in the ER
• RNs on avg 1 shift ER and 2 shifts IP per wk
• Pediatrics to Geriatrics

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Respiratory Therapy is not provided; must be comfortable with respiratory intervention
• No pharmacy overnight, must be comfortable mixing their own drips
• Strong experience in ER
• previously worked in AK before is a plus
• previous IHS exp is a plus
• critical access hospital is a plus

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS  

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• PCCN

LICENSURE REQUIREMENT  

• AK License

ABOUT THE FACILITY

This facility includes 21 village clinics that are accredited by Joint Commission and are staffed by Community Health aides. Our Community Health Aide Program (CHAP) plays a very important role in village health services. Our health aides can provide Preventative, Acute, Chronic, and Emergency care within their scope of practice using the Community Health Aide Manual (CHAM) and reporting to a referral Physician at the Kanakanak hospital. They work closely with our case management and assist many other departments that include, but not limited to: Optometry, Audiology, Diabetes, Medical Staff, Dental, and Infant learning to ensure our patients are getting the appropriate and essential care that they need.
