and the job listing Expires on May 28, 2026 Internship Exploring General Business & Beyond Our Family of Companies internship program is designed to invest in the next generation of talent, grounded in a commitment to continuous learning, financial stewardship, relationship-building, and community engagement . Continuous Learning – Interns are placed within a host department aligned with their interests, experience, and field of study. Throughout the summer, they also have the opportunity to shadow two additional departments, providing broader exposure to our operations and potential career paths. Additionally, interns will research and analyze a process or initiative within the organization to understand how it operates and develop recommendations for improvement or innovation. Interns will present their findings to a leadership panel at the conclusion of the program. Financial Stewardship – Interns participate in financial literacy experiences, such as the Journey of Generosity, Compass study, and a variety of lunch-and-learn sessions, reinforcing our purpose of helping people make wise financial decisions. Relationship Building – The program intentionally fosters meaningful professional connections by linking interns with subject matter experts across the organization and encouraging participation in group events and team-building activities throughout the summer. Community Involvement – Reflecting our service-oriented culture, interns have the opportunity to take part in a mission trip focused on serving individuals and communities across Eastern Kentucky. Position Summary The Corporate Law intern will be given the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally through real-life work experiences and mentoring relationships. Because our unique Family of Companies encompasses multiple industries, this intern will gain exposure to legal matters in banking, insurance, investments, hospitality, retail, and more. Key Responsibilities Draft policies, procedures, memoranda, and correspondence on legal and compliance matters. Perform legal research and analysis regarding various areas, including, but not limited to, banking, employment, and compliance issues. Review existing and new contracts. Shadow attorney on calls and in meetings and assist in preparations for same. Other special legal research projects as assigned. Qualifications Must be enrolled in law school and be a rising 2L or 3L. Detail-oriented but able to work at a fast pace. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently. Organized, multi-tasker, and a self-starter. #J-18808-Ljbffr
