Recycling Sorting Specialist — Warehouse Role

Base Pay $17.00 - $20.00 / Hour Job Category Warehouse, Recycling Employee Type FT-Non-Exempt Job Summary: The Recycling Associate is responsible for the safe, efficient sorting, handling, and processing of recyclable materials, including electronic waste, to support operational goals and environmental compliance. This role contributes to maintaining quality standards, meeting production targets, and ensuring a safe work environment. Duties/Responsibilities: Sort, separate, and process recyclable materials according to company standards and environmental regulations Identify and properly handle various material types (e.g., plastics, metals, electronics, components) Operate basic tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and hazard reporting Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards) Meet daily productivity and quality targets Accurately complete required logs, tracking forms, or system entries Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or process inefficiencies to supervisors Support team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment Follow all company policies and procedures Other duties as assigned by manager Requirements Physical Requirements: Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
