Machine Operator Assistant

The position is within the Northwests largest independent corrugated box manufacturer, known for producing top-quality packaging products using state-of-the-art converting equipment.

• Learn to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of converting equipment.

• Ability to read and write English.
• Mechanical inclination and ability to learn new skills within a standard timeline.
• Comfortable around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to mentally and physically perform at a high pace with a sense of urgency while maintaining company expectations of Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
• Basic math knowledge and ability to read a tape measure.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Pass drug screen and physical abilities test.

The work environment includes a very large facility that can get hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Employees will work with various machines such as the 112" Multiflute Corrugator, 62" Single Face Laminator, and several Rotary Die Cutters, Flexo Folder Gluers, and Specialty Folder Gluers. The facility emphasizes teamwork and physical capability, requiring workers to lift up to 75 lbs at times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Renton, WA.

The pay range for this position is $24.30 - $24.30/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
