Job Description

The Facility Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the golf facility. This includes vacuum cleaning rugs and draperies, sweeping, mopping, stripping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors using industrial power equipment. The worker adjusts and changes buffers, brushes, and other attachments on power equipment. They dust, wax, and polish furniture, dust ledges and woodwork, empty ashtrays and wastebaskets, and polish door knobs and other metal fixtures. They clean glass partitions and windows using stepladders and extension ladders, and maintain restrooms in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. The worker cleans, disinfects, and deodorizes lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls, cleans mirrors and water fountains, and replaces deodorizers, toilet tissue, hand towels, and soap. They report all violations of safety to the immediate supervisor and maintain a supply of cleaning materials, advising the supervisor when more supplies are needed or when equipment needs repair or replacement. The worker waters indoor and outdoor container plants and maintains the appearance of the exterior of the facility by picking up litter and pulling weeds on brick driveways. They assist in setting up rooms for special functions, parties, and banquets, arranging and setting up tables and chairs, placing appropriate linen on tables, and breaking down or resetting rooms upon conclusion of the function subject to schedule. During lunch schedule, they clean tables, remove dirty dishes and silverware, maintain an ample supply of dishes, glasses, and silverware for the lunch buffet, help maintain the lunch buffet for cleanliness, assist in bringing out food for buffet line and salad bar, serve grill menu items to guests, assist guests in need of help with beverage and food service, and ensure guest lunch areas are set-up and prepared. They may also assist in the preparation and service of espresso-based coffee/specialty drinks as needed and perform other related duties as assigned.
