Job Description

**GENERAL SUMMARY:** Under the general direction of the Manager of Employee Safety, the Employee Safety Specialist is responsible for:

Collecting, analyzing, and organizing safety data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Developing and implementing targeted interventions in partnership with site leadership and HR
Developing and overseeing comprehensive employee safety programs with performance improvement measures
Co-facilitating system-wide Employee Safety initiatives and ensuring local site implementation with accountability to the CEO
Communicating effectively with employees, leadership, physicians, and external stakeholders to support safety objectives

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental or related field required.3-5 years experience of employee or occupational/safety/clinical/quality experience. Experience in the delivering of educational programs is an asset. Is knowledgeable of MIOSHA and OSHA laws.
