Senior Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Senior Attorney in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in all phases of commercial litigation. Admission to practice in Oregon is required, with admission in Washington preferred. A client following or demonstrated business development success is advantageous. Duties Manage files throughout the litigation process independently and as part of a team. Conduct fact investigations. Handle document productions and other discovery tasks. Prepare witnesses for deposition. Take and defend depositions. Prepare pleadings, briefs, and motions. Review and analyze policies, contracts, and other legal documents. Prepare for and attend court hearings, including oral arguments of motions. Prepare for and attend trials, including trial team support and direct and cross-examination of witnesses. Requirements Admitted to practice in Oregon. Admission in Washington preferred. 8-10 years of experience in commercial litigation. Client following or demonstrated business development success preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Oregon. Skills Strong litigation management skills. Excellent fact investigation abilities. Proficient in document production and discovery tasks. Skilled in preparing and defending depositions.
