Senior Engineering Manager, Infrastructure + Developer Productivity

And we're leaders in that space, with:$10 billion+ generated by creators since Patreon's inception100 million+ free memberships for fans who may not be ready to pay just yet, and25 million+ paid memberships on Patreon today.We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Infrastructure & Developer Productivity teams, which are responsible for Patreon’s core infrastructure, developer productivity, and AI enablement. The team’s mission is to keep Patreon's engineering org fast, and reliable, and ready for an AI-native way of building software.This role location is open to fully Remote or to those who are able to be in-office 3 days per week on a hybrid work model in New York or San Francisco.About the TeamYou'll own the roadmap and execution across infrastructure and developer productivity. Balancing "keep the site up" reliability work with "make every engineer faster" investment — including Patreon's push to make AI-assisted development a durable part of how the org ships code.About the RoleManage and grow ICs; own hiring, performance, and career development for your org.Own operational excellence: observability standards, on-call structure, incident response, SLAs/SLOs, and Production Readiness Reviews (PRR).Partner closely with Product Engineering, Security, and Data leaders so infrastructure and tooling decisions don't become a bottleneck for product deliveryDrive the org's AI-enablement strategy — deciding where to standardize tooling/workflows and where to let teams choose their own pathAbout YouRequired:10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in engineering management, ideally with experience managing managers or senior ICs across multiple teamsDirect experience leading infrastructure, platform, or developer-productivity teams supporting a consumer product at scaleFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code toolingComfort operating scalable production systems with high availability and performance requirementsStrong cross-functional partnership skills; you'll work daily with Product Engineering, Security, and Data leadsNice to HaveExperience standing up or scaling developer tooling (CI/CD, testing platforms, internal dev environments)Exposure to AI-assisted software development.
