About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: - Must have scrub and circulate experience. - Strong experience in at least two of the following specialties: Neuro spine, Ortho spine, Vascular, Robotics. - Traveler experience required. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO in the unit could potentially lead to a cancellation or DNR. Candidates must have recent experience in an acute Operating Room setting. Applicants who have been out of the acute Operating Room setting for more than six months will not be considered. Candidates with recent management experience will not be considered. The unit will accept 13-week contracts. The candidate must be able to scrub and circulate. The unit performs a high number of Neuro and Ortho cases. Vascular and Robotics procedures are also conducted but are less frequent. The unit handles additional specialties such as Urology, Podiatry, Oncology GYN, and Miscellaneous cases. The daily census consists of approximately 45 cases across 17 rooms. Knowledge of specific surgical procedures is necessary. Candidates should be adaptable and willing to float within or near the facility as required. Completion of required pre-start modules is mandatory prior to beginning the assignment.
