Medical Science Liaison - Obesity and Related Conditions - IA, NE, SD

Amgen seeks a Medical Science Liaison for the obesity therapeutic area covering Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. The role involves serving as a scientific resource to healthcare providers and opinion leaders, executing medical strategy, and advancing clinical evidence to improve patient outcomes in obesity-related conditions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions with opinion leaders, healthcare providers, and population health decision makers
- Engage with clinical investigators and research sites supporting obesity pipeline development
- Communicate clinical, scientific, and economic data to healthcare institutions and integrated delivery networks
- Support Amgen-sponsored research activities and clinical investigations
- Present field insights and observations to internal stakeholders to inform corporate strategy
Requirements
- Doctorate degree, or Master's degree with 3+ years medical affairs experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years medical affairs experience
- Preferred: Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. credential
- 1+ years medical affairs experience preferred
- Cardiometabolic and/or obesity expertise preferred
- Strong scientific communication and relationship-building capabilities
- Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical medical affairs preferred
