The Construction Estimator/Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the estimating team by conducting quantity takeoffs, analyzing costs, and preparing bids to ensure competitive and accurate project proposals. This role involves coordinating with vendors, managing project documentation, and assisting with site measurements, contributing to effective project support and client communication within a medium-sized team.
Responsibilities
- Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed cost analysis
- Prepare and assist in the development of competitive bids
- Coordinate with vendors for pricing and information
- Manage project documents and maintain organized records
- Enter and update data accurately in estimating software and systems
- Support site measurement activities and gather necessary information
- Provide general project support to the estimating team
- Communicate with clients to clarify project requirements and bid details
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating
