Assembly Tech - Nameplates

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Assembly Tech - Nameplates.


The rate for this position is $18.11 per hour. The hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm.

This position is also eligible for a variable pay program.

What you'll do:

In the Assembly Technician - Name Plates role, you will be responsible for producing name plates used in the manufacturing of medium- and high-voltage indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and related sub-assemblies.

• Work from manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, and written or verbal instructions from supervisors or engineering to accurately create unit name plates.
• Complete daily productivity and 5S documentation.
• Maintain required Kanban inventory levels and report any shortages, defects, or updates to the appropriate operators and supervisors.
• Respond to change notices, customer-requested adjustments, and development needs.
• Assist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-driven development tasks.
• Follow all manufacturing information, drawings, sketches, and instructions according to established procedures.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifcations:

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Eaton does not provide immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This includes, but is not limited to, CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, or I-485 job portability.
• No relocation assistance is available. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt from this geographical requirement.

Preferred:

• Three months of industrial manufacturing experience
• Three months of experience using hand and air tools
• South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent

Position Criteria:

• Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams in a collaborative environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as business needs require.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble products and verify quality in a Lean environment.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications (Microsoft Outlook and Teams) and job-specific systems such as ENOVIA.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands for handling and feeling.
• Frequently required to stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and push/pull 50 lbs. or more with or without accommodation
• Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination.

• Regular exposure to noise and frequent exposure to dust while performing job duties
