DAS Quality In-Process Inspector 2nd Shift - 1396

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Quality In-Process Inspector for the 2nd Shift at DAS Aviation. In this role, you will ensure that maintenance is performed to strict safety and airworthiness standards by conducting inspections at various stages and reviewing records. The position is full‑time, on‑site, located in Cedar Hill, TX. Responsibilities Perform daily in‑process continuity inspections of repairs and repaired components. Inspect components for proper assembly, using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, torquers, and ohm meters. Use and interpret manufacturer’s maintenance manuals and engineering drawings. Coordinate with Engineering for documentation of repairs that exceed repair data. Ensure proper inspection records, continuity sheets, temperature cure reports, and forms are executed from receiving inspection through to return to service. Create records of any discrepancies found during the inspection process. Perform computer data entry and monitor inspection requests from Maintenance Technicians. Research ICA data as needed. Communicate quality occurrences with other Inspectors and Supervisors. Follow all FAA guidelines, company safety rules, and customer‑oriented work habits. Education & Qualification High school diploma or equivalent (required). Aviation Maintenance Technician certificate(s) preferred. Valid driver’s license approved for airline travel or passport (ideal but not mandatory). Experience 5 years relevant experience at a FAA 145 Repair Station with aircraft/component sheet metal structural, metal‑to‑metal, and composite bonding repair maintenance/inspections. Experience navigating computer electronic maintenance recording systems such as Corridor. Experience accessing aviation OEM data portals and using Microsoft Windows systems, Word, Excel, Outlook, and internal network file systems. Skills & Abilities Self‑motivated team player capable of working in a fast‑paced environment under specific deadlines. Strong sense of responsibility; attend work each day, including overtime and weekend assignments, and notify supervisors in advance if unable to work. Reliable transportation to get to work each day. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and professional communication skills. Physical & Mental Requirements Routine sitting, standing, walking, and lifting (minimum 50 lbs). Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines. Troubleshoot or evaluate system operation. Work with others in a professional manner.
