American Health Imaging is hiring a CT Technologist at our Cumming, GA location. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday 8am - 4pm. We're offering a $20,000 sign on bonus The CT Technologist p erforms a variety of standard, and specialty Computed Tomography ( CT ) procedures to produce imaging studies using radiology technology to assist physicians with formulating a medical diagnosis while complying with safety and regulatory requirements. Specifically, conducts radiology exams and documents clinically appropriate results for interpretive physicians and records. Duties/Responsibilities Demonstrates the company’s values in daily activities Perform s complex tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment to produce cross-section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues Position s patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment to with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff Screen s patients for CT safety prior to procedure performance Start s I.V.’s, administers contrast media as directed and per protocol Evaluate s CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label s appropriately Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice Maintains knowledge of, observes , and enforces the safety measures in the Environment of Care Assists in other modalities as requested and as allowed by licensure/certification Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy Knowledge of current technical skills and procedural understanding to perform a full range of scanning procedures Knowledge of and adherence to ALARA principles Knowledge of basic level computer skills Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion Skill in written and verbal communication Ability to operate and adjust scanning and ancillary equipment Ability to take initiative to improve processes, think strategically , and identify trends Ability to provide open, honest feedback to improve decision-making Ability to maintain and build constructive relationships that produce results Ability to work independently, as a team , and in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines Ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change Ability to effectively handle details with accuracy Ability to maintain regular attendance and on-time approval to work as scheduled Ability to deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external customers by communicating with integrity and compassion Ability to resolve service recovery issues and understand when to escape to the next level Ability to remain calm in difficult situations Education and Experience Graduate of 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology 12 months previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality ARRT certification in Computed Tomography Applicable State Licensure, where required IV credentialed if applicable BLS certification preferred Benefits Medical / Dental / Vision / Life / Pharmacy Plans, with Benefits effective first day of the month following hire date 401(k) matching Monthly bonus opportunity Paid Vacation Time PTO Accrual Beginning Day 1 Colleague Referral Bonus Program Lumexa Imaging provides a competitive compensation program to attract, retain, and motivate a high-performance workforce.
