HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

As an Estate Settlement Services Advisor, you will be at the forefront of complex estate and trust administration, applying your expertise to: Decipher and Interpret: Masterfully interpret, summarize, and understand intricate wills and trusts from all 50 states, translating complex legal language into clear, actionable insights. Educate and Advise: Articulate sophisticated estate planning and administration concepts with clarity and precision to colleagues and client advisors, fostering understanding and informed decision‑making. Lead Strategic Engagements: Facilitate and lead critical discussions with client advisors, internal compliance, and legal teams, ensuring smooth and compliant processes. Manage Critical Transitions: Oversee the new contracting process following a client’s passing, coordinating seamlessly with internal contracting and billing teams. Cultivate External Relationships: Interact directly with client attorneys, tax advisors, and corporate fiduciaries, representing the firm’s commitment to comprehensive client support. Drive Thought Leadership: Participate in internal and external marketing efforts, sharing your expertise and enhancing the team’s profile and capabilities.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We seek a highly motivated, detail‑oriented, and client‑centric professional with a strong legal background and a commitment to excellence. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctor (J.D.) required. 5+ years of dedicated experience in estate and trust planning and administration. Profound understanding of core estate planning and administration principles. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for diverse audiences. Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative, yet autonomous environment, demonstrating clear thinking and sound judgment under pressure. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills. Unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity. Preferred Qualifications (A Plus If You Have) Experience with fiduciary income tax return preparation and estate/gift tax return preparation (direct tax preparation is NOT required for this role). Familiarity with directed trust and delegated trust models. Basic understanding of the fiduciary investment process. Salary Range The expected base salary for this Albany, NY, United States‑based position is $80,000 - $250,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year‑end.
