About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years in a similar setting required License: Active RN state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI Must-Have: Previous charge experience and hospital community experience Description: ED Registered Nurse - Rotating Day/Mid shifts, with a focus on 3x12 or 4x12 schedules. Experience with a patient ratio of 1:4, with the possibility of up to 5 patients in lower acuity situations. Care will include all age ranges, from infants to geriatrics. Diagnoses vary widely and include complex medical conditions. The setting is fast-paced with a high volume of patients visits. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Holidays will be assigned as scheduled. Floating between facilities within the specialty may be required based on department needs. Candidates must be comfortable floating with no restrictions or special requests. Key skills include managing acute conditions, administering emergency medications, and understanding dysrhythmias. Experience with common emergency procedures and critical thinking in high-stress situations is essential. The unit provides interdisciplinary support from various services, enhancing patient care.
