Litigation Attorney

Job Title: Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney Bar License: Active or Pending New Jersey Bar admission required (New York Bar admission is a plus) We are partnering with a well-established and highly respected boutique litigation firm in Northern New Jersey that is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigator looking to work on sophisticated commercial disputes involving securities, corporate, contract, real estate, bankruptcy, and other complex business matters. What You'll Do: Manage a diverse caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation‑related documents. Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, case evaluations, and litigation strategies. Prepare witnesses for depositions, draft deposition outlines, and analyze deposition transcripts. Take and defend depositions. Participate in bench trials and jury trials (second‑chair trial experience is acceptable). Attend court appearances, hearings, conferences, and mediations. Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy, risk assessment, and litigation updates. Collaborate closely with partners and support staff to deliver exceptional client service. Qualifications: Active or Pending New Jersey Bar admission required (New York Bar admission is a plus). J.D. from an accredited law school. 10+ years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm environment is strongly preferred. Significant deposition experience, including witness preparation and transcript analysis. Bench trial and jury trial experience required (second‑chair experience is acceptable). Strong legal writing, analytical, advocacy, and case management skills. Ability to work on‑site in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $180,000 – $200,000 , depending on experience and overall qualifications.
