Technical Accountant

A fast-growing organization operating in the artificial intelligence and advanced technology space is seeking a Technical Accountant to support its expanding finance function. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and commercially aware accounting professional who enjoys working in a complex, high-growth environment. The Technical Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, developing scalable accounting policies, and supporting critical business initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams while addressing sophisticated accounting challenges across a dynamic business landscape. Responsibilities Lead and manage revenue recognition policies across subscription and usage-based models Assess and determine accounting treatment for capital-intensive assets, including hardware and infrastructure environments Prepare and review technical accounting memoranda for complex transactions and agreements Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reporting adjustments Coordinate audit readiness and serve as a primary contact for external auditors Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting frameworks Partner with cross-functional teams to provide accounting guidance on new products, contracts, and business initiatives Evaluate financial implications of new commercial models prior to implementation Drive process improvements and support finance system enhancements for scalability and accuracy Monitor changes in accounting standards and ensure timely adoption and compliance Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA 4–8 years of experience in technical accounting, preferably within a public accounting firm or a complex corporate environment Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ability to apply guidance to real-world scenarios Experience preparing technical accounting documentation, including memos and policies Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a high level of ownership and accountability Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Experience with US GAAP or multinational reporting environments is preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
