Technical Project Manager

Position Summary The Technical Project Manager leads technical projects from initiation to delivery, establishing project teams, defining scope, estimating effort, managing budgets, setting milestones, monitoring progress, and reporting status to leadership. Primary Accountabilities Apply project management principles, tools, and processes to lead assigned technical projects. Consult with stakeholders and project team members to determine scope, budget, resources, and timeline, and obtain launch approval. Coordinate requirements definition, effort and time estimates, and budget management. Collaborate with the team to formulate scope and delivery strategies, establish milestones and schedules, and create a work breakdown structure. Confirm resource assignments, validate completion targets, and manage assigned resources. Ensure change management documents, vets, and approvals for any scope changes. Identify, document, and resolve risks, issues, and problems that could affect project goals. Maintain communication, testing, training, documentation, go‑live, and transition activities throughout the project lifecycle. Track and report project status and key metrics to stakeholders regularly. Complete post‑project evaluation to assess results and provide insights for future delivery. Additional Responsibilities Work cross‑functionally with the enterprise to address all functional areas. Manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Influence and build relationships across organizations, bridging gaps between teams. Demonstrate growing knowledge of product and industry trends. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field. 4–6 years of project management experience, using Agile or Waterfall methodologies, with at least 3 years managing technical projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Leadership skills and ability to collaborate across organizations. Advanced Microsoft and Google Suites usage. Industry experience in financial services, logistics, CPG manufacturing, or retail preferred. General technical knowledge (Service Desk, Network, Internet, Server, Database, Cloud, Software Engineering). Conceptual understanding of Configuration Management Database. Lean Six Sigma Yellow, Green, or Black Belt preferred. PMP and ITIL certifications preferred.
