Surgery Field Service Engineer

Salary: $66,560 - 99,840 per year Requirements:

• We require an associate degree in a related field or equivalent military training, plus 2 years of experience servicing electronic equipment, or a high school diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience, or completion of the GE HealthCare Apprentice Program.
• We require a valid drivers license that must be maintained.
• We require experience using web-based applications and Microsoft Office tools.
• We require legal authorization to work in the U.S.; we do not sponsor employment visas for this role, now or in the future.
• We require the ability to work after hours and participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
• We require the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
• Preferred: technical capability with Surgery C-Arm imaging systems (OEC mobile fluoroscopy equipment) used in operating room and procedural settings.
• Preferred: the physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs unassisted, and to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch, kneel, sit, stand for extended periods, and use strong hand and finger dexterity.

• We perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance on medical equipment in hospital and healthcare settings to support quality patient care.
• We troubleshoot equipment issues and complete basic service repairs on customer systems.
• We support more experienced field engineers with installations and more complex repairs.
• We collaborate proactively with team members to identify the right solution for the customer.
• We build and maintain customer relationships, communicate promptly, and follow through to drive satisfaction.
• We follow our policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to meet regulatory and compliance expectations, while documenting all work, debriefing, and ordering parts each day.
• We partner with customers and sales teams to recommend value-added services that help improve operational efficiency.
• We use the GE HealthCare escalation process when needed and work with regional and national support to implement corrective actions and resolve customer issues.
• We drive service excellence and support customer satisfaction through independent field service work.
