Experience: A minimum of 5 years previous sterile processing experience is required.
License: Certification required at hire and maintained.
Certifications: CRCST or CSPDT.
Must-Have: Must be certified (IASCHM, CBSPD, HSPA). 3 or above rating in Robotics is required. Experience in level II Trauma or similar facility is mandatory.
Description: The Sterile Processing Tech cleans, prepares, sterilizes, and stores instruments. The tech also prepares case carts for the operating room. The sterile processing unit serves multiple surgical operating rooms. The position primarily works in decontamination and rarely in assembling trays.
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
