- Specialty: OR - Operating Room
- Discipline: RN
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 11 weeks
- 38 hours per week
- Shift: 10 hours, days
- Employment Type: Travel
- Shift: Day Shift, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Location: Alaska Regional Hospital, Anchorage, AK
- EMR: Epic
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with Operating Room experience
- Strong experience in:
- Da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgery
- Spinal Fusion (Orthopedic and/or Neuro)
- Orthopedics, including Total Joint Arthroplasty
- Experience with:
- Total Joint Replacements
- Multi-level Spine Fusions
- Robotic GYN, Colorectal, and General Surgery cases
- Patient advocacy and teamwork skills
- NBSTSA Certification (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments.
- Scrub and assist during orthopedic, neuro, robotic, and general surgical procedures.
- Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments and supplies during surgery.
- Ensure proper handling, counting, and sterilization of surgical instruments.
- Support patient safety and infection prevention practices.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, RNs, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members.
- Participate in on-call coverage for emergency surgical procedures.
