Chiesi Global Rare DiseasesChiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available.This unit is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with a strong synergy with the headquarters in Parma. Rare unit has a focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology, ophthalmology disorders and rare immunodeficiencies. Discover more here.Who we are looking forThis is what you will doReporting to the Head of Access Marketing, Strategy, & US HEOR for the Americas, this role will lead the development and implementation of Access strategy and develop tactical initiatives for the assigned Chiesi Rare Disease portfolio. The Lead will collaborate closely with the brand marketing teams and other cross functional partners, all in support of ensuring life-changing treatments remain accessible to the patients who need them. In the near term, this role will support and contribute to the success of a product portfolio in Chiesi Rare Disease – in the longer term, this role offers the opportunity to grow and develop as part of a highly experienced market access team for an exciting, growing company.You’ll be responsible for:The Lead will contribute to company success by supporting the development of market access strategy, tactics, and marketing materials for the assigned portfolio. This role will also be critical in supporting Market Access team operations, including budgets, forecasts, payer/coverage data analysis, and project management.Support the development of market access strategy, tactics and marketing materials as the market access lead for assigned brands.Collaborate with partners from across the business, including Brand Marketing, Patient Services, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Finance, Sales, Data/Analytics, and Global Market AccessCollaborate and support the development of the strategy for US HEOR/RWE across assigned disease areas within Chiesi Rare Disease PortfolioMonitor spend and manage assigned payer marketing budget for brands, being a good steward of company resourcesBe a resource on all things US Market Access – strategies, tactics, situation assessments, etc. – for our cross functional partnersLead engagement with the creative agency partner(s) for assigned portfolio, and facilitate Promotional Review Board (PRB) review of marketing materialsPartner with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure brand access messages and environment is pulled through to all customersYou will need to haveBachelor’s degree required.10 years progressive experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry across key functions such as marketing, market access, contracting, commercial operations, and data analytics. At least 5 years directly within market access or brand marketing.Good understanding of payer segments (Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare Part D & B, etc.), reimbursement, and Specialty Pharmacy data.Direct experience in supporting Medical Benefit (Buy/Bill) is importantExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear overview of Market Access insights.Strong analytical (qualitative and quantitative), strategic thinking, creativity & problem-solving skills.Self-directed and confident, with ability to contribute to shared commitment and goals to achieve high standards of performance.Well organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high attention to detail. Demonstrated success with project management.Demonstrated understanding of the current US payer environment and Market Access dynamics required.History of success in developing market access tactics for use with US payers. We would prefer for you to haveExperience with a Promotional Review Committee (Legal/Medical/Regulatory) and experience with VeevaVault or similar.Experience within Rare Disease.LocationHybrid position based in Boston, MA office. #LI-HybridCompensationThe annual base pay for this position ranges from $184,140 to $225,060. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
