Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Memphis, TN and surrounding areas $15.68 an hour - Immediate Full-time 2nd Shift - Part-time - and On-Demand call-in positions available. Paid training (at minimum wage)Purpose of the Direct Support Professional: The primary purpose of the Direct Support Professional is to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who need support to lead a safe, self-directed life to participate fully in their communities.To assist individuals with intellectual disabilities (mild to severe) in leading a self-directed life and contribute to the community. To aid in assisting with activities of daily living if needed, and encourage attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you, will provide support at home, work, and other community places.Direct Support Professional Skills: The job of a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a very significant one. It is important to have compassion, creativity, and integrity when supporting our individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
