Responsibilities Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards. Test-drive vehicles, test components and systems, and use diagnostic tools and special service equipment. Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and AC conditioning. Communicate directly with Service Advisors to ensure customers are fully informed of all service needed and provide estimates of time for additional repairs. Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. Qualifications 3+ years of Transmission Technician Experience Ford/Lincoln Certification required B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair Dexterity and steady hand-eye coordination Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies Positive, friendly attitude with eagerness to improve Ability to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively with teammates Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Knowledge of safety procedures and practices necessary while operating or repairing vehicles and equipment Experience & Education High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license and clean driving record ASE certifications required Physical Requirements / Working Environment Ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, push, and pull Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and assist in lifting up to 100 pounds Must be able to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks and drug test Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid time off and holidays for full-time employees Employee discounts on vehicles, parts, and service Flexible schedule, full-time: Monday through Friday (40 hours/week) Family Leave Supportive team environment Paid Training & Professional Development Plans Opportunity for growth within a well-established automotive group Why Randall Reed’s Planet Ford, Humble We offer advantages that come with an award-winning, volume-selling automotive organization within one of the largest Texas independent Top 100 automotive groups in the United States.
