About the Role

The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief of People & Culture to lead its human resources function and support the organization's mission of expanding opportunities for every learner. The successful candidate will be a trusted partner to executives and senior leadership, providing strategic HR leadership that aligns with the organization's goals. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing HR strategies that maximize employee performance, engagement, and retention. The Deputy Chief of People & Culture will oversee all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, performance management, training and development, and will be responsible for ensuring that HR policies and programs are in line with the company's mission and strategic objectives. Candidates for the Deputy Chief of People & Culture position should have a minimum of 15 years' of HR experience, with a strong background in core HR operations and a focus on embedding equity principles into HR practices. The role requires a leader with a significant supervisory record, adept at managing and developing high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in HR or a related field, with SHRM certification strongly preferred. Experience in organizational development, including the design and implementation of career pathways and professional development programs, is essential. The Deputy Chief of People & Culture will also be responsible for maintaining knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure compliance and for fostering a values-led organizational culture grounded in equity.
