Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Night Shift in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience and have the ability to float to Childbirth Center units as needed.

Shift Details

Shift Type: 3x12-Hour Night Shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
Start Dates: November 2, 2026 or November 16, 2026
Days Off: Requests for Time Off (RTO) limited to 5 days or fewer

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in NICU
Travel Experience: Preferred
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Preferred Skills

NICU III and IV experience
Handling Neonates under 24-28 weeks
Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
Feeding techniques (bottle, breast, gavage)
Tube placement and management (oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal)
Isolation precautions and PPE
Arterial line management
Central line and implanted line care
IV vasopressors and surfactants
Management of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)

Unit Information

Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants
Daily Census: Approximately 12 patients
Number of Beds: 18
Patient Diagnoses: Prematurity, respiratory distress, jaundice management, feeding support

Additional Information

Candidates should be willing to float within the hospital based on patient care needs. The unit is supported by interdisciplinary services, including Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy. Orientation will involve approximately 24 hours of training, including the completion of required modules.
