Job Title

Travel RN – Cath Lab Prep/Recovery Nurse

Location

Asheville, NC | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | Three 12-hour shifts per week (two shifts 6:00 AM–6:30 PM and one shift 8:00 AM–8:30 PM) | No weekly call or weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and recover patients undergoing Cath Lab and EP Lab procedures
• Perform sheath pulls and groin management, including radial access site management
• Assist with or support cardioversions and general anesthesia (GA) recovery
• Monitor patients using bedside monitors, telemetry, and Zoll equipment; manage IV pumps and specialty beds
• Document patient care using the Cerner electronic health record system
• Maintain a patient ratio of 3:1 with CNA support available on the unit

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina (or compact state eligibility)
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• ICU or Cardiac Stepdown experience required
• Competency in sheath pulls
• Experience with moderate sedation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous Cath Lab and/or EP Lab experience strongly preferred
• Experience with structural heart procedural patients
• Familiarity with a broad range of cardiac diagnoses and procedural patient populations
• Prior experience with Cerner documentation system
