Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans that address immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to develop cohesive care strategies.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to foster progress between therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring consistent care throughout the therapeutic process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of employment.
