Schedule: Travel assignment with 2-3 patient ratio; daily census approximately 30 neonates; float requirements to different units as needed

Highlights:

• Level III NICU specializing in neonates from 22 weeks gestation and above
• Comprehensive patient case mix including respiratory distress, glucose management, and pre/post-surgical cardiac interventions
• Epic charting system and Pyxis medication administration
• Collaborative multidisciplinary team including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, radiology, and social services
• Advanced procedures including arterial and central line management, ventilator oversight, and neonatal abstinence syndrome interventions
• Prior facility experience considered favorably; local candidates accepted

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience; Level III and Level IV NICU experience preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Proficiency with Epic charting system and SBAR communication methodology
• Competency in ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
• Experience with IV vasopressors, surfactants, steroids, and umbilical catheter management
• 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing

• Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to Ohio fingerprinting location as soon as possible
• Former facility employees eligible if away from facility for 6 months or more; current employees not eligible
• Time off requests must be submitted with application and built into contract
