Grant Research & Application Volunteer (Early-Stage Nonprofit)

Mommy Haven

Mommy Haven is a newly established nonprofit organization supporting mothers and children during times of transition, reunification, and rebuilding. We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to help with grant research and grant applications as we grow our programs and infrastructure.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, writing, and helping mission-driven organizations secure funding. You will work directly with the founder to identify relevant grants, track deadlines, and assist with preparing and submitting applications.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Researching foundation, corporate, and government grant opportunities
  • Identifying grants aligned with Mommy Haven’s mission and programs
  • Assisting with grant applications, narratives, and budgets
  • Organizing grant deadlines and requirements
  • Helping improve overall grant readiness

Qualifications:

  • Interest or experience in grant research, writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Comfortable working with a startup nonprofit (things are being built as we go)
  • Passion for supporting women, families, and community-based programs

This is a remote, flexible volunteer opportunity and a great chance to gain hands-on experience with an early-stage nonprofit. Time commitment is flexible and can be discussed.

We truly value collaboration and clear communication and are excited to work with someone who wants to make a real impact.
