We pride ourselves on our extensive network of mutually beneficial partnerships, and we use our substantial influence, capital, and energy to drive towards a better future. #LMIThe PositionThe Energy & Infrastructure (E&I) strategy invests holistically across the infrastructure landscape including real asset, services, and technology opportunities spanning power, midstream, energy transition, digital, transportation, utilities, and products. The team's mandate is to deliver compelling, risk-adjusted returns with strong downside protection and significant upside potential. E&I leverages subject matter expertise, ability to underwrite complexity, speed to execute, and a peer-oriented go-to-market strategy to establish itself as a differentiated partner of choice. This hire will be a deal captain leading sourcing, execution and portfolio management across a variety of transaction types with responsibility as a senior member of the team to drive E&I’s future growth and investment strategy.Responsibilities:Lead value-add infrastructure equity transactions with a focus on directs and co-investments as well as fund and platform opportunitiesLead all aspects of deal execution including sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, structuring, management of the investment committee process, legal documentation, and asset managementManage multiples projects at a timeWork with external partners as well as LMI’s legal, asset allocation, risk, and accounting & operations teams to develop customized investment opportunities and strategic partnershipsEngage with external counterparties and market participants to enhance E&I’s presence in the spaceDrive robust relative value discussions across the organization and seek to generate optimal risk-adjusted returns for the overall portfolioPromote a culture of collaboration and be willing to work cross-functionally to add value across the organizationPursue the development of technology, data, and analytics needed to support the roleDevelop and train junior team members who are mostly based in Boston. Qualifications Qualifications:10+ years of experience in private equity infrastructure investments, including sourcing, structuring, execution, and management of complex transactionsDeep experience underwriting investments with an ability to identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategiesProven investment track record with experience leading and overseeing a range of investments across sectors Experience in managing deal teams and external constituentsExtensive network of investors, management teams, and advisors across the infrastructure landscapeExperience working from initial business plan review through executionStrong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams and business unitsPossess exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsHigh-performing team player with a willingness to be flexible and take on additional responsibilities depending on the needs of the business The expectation that the Director will be present in the office 3 days a week. Candidates must have a willingness and ability to travel as needed to support business demands if they are not Boston based. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
