Senior Tax Accountant

The Senior Tax Accountant plays a key role in preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns, quarterly and annual tax provisions, tax planning, research, and other corporate tax initiatives. This individual will work closely with the Director of Tax on compliance, financial reporting, audit support, technical research, and process improvement initiatives. The role offers broad exposure across the tax function while allowing someone to remain hands-on technically without the demanding hours often associated with public accounting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare consolidated federal income tax returns. Prepare state income and franchise tax returns. Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments and annual extensions. Assist with federal and state tax audits. Prepare quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provisions. Reconcile tax balance sheet accounts. Prepare tax journal entries. Maintain tax workpapers. Maintain tax basis balance sheets. Research federal, state, income, sales and miscellaneous tax issues. Monitor changes in tax law. Prepare technical tax memorandums. Support tax planning initiatives. Assist with tax process improvements. Provide tax support to Finance and other departments. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor\'s Degree with 5+ years relevant experience OR Master\'s Degree with 3+ years relevant experience. ASC 740 experience. Consolidated tax return experience.
