POSITION SUMMARY

This role isn’t just about taking orders – it’s about making connections and creating memorable dining experiences. From greeting and seating residents and guests to ensuring food safety and cleanliness, you’ll be a key player in delivering service that exceeds expectations. You'll also help keep the dining room sparkling and assist in training new team members.

We are currently looking for full-time dining servers in our Healthcare Plaza.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Greeting and seating Residents and Guests.
• Responsible for taking meal/beverage orders and serving requested items according to established policies.
• Maintain all side stations and dining areas using the “clean as you go” policy.
• Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Assist with orientation and training of new food servers.
• Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene.
• Attend all in-services as required.
• Supports the Mission and Values of the community and Catholic social teachings.
• Perform all other reasonable tasks assigned by your supervisor.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen leadership.
• Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas, store food and supplies properly 
• Adhere to state and facility food handling regulations, including proper storage, preparation, and serving practices

Educational Requirements, Requirements and Experience : 

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Follow instructions with a positive attitude
• Experience a plus, but not required 
• Ability to maintain composure and manage stress in the workplace.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

· Willingness to work with the elderly in a senior living environment

· Effectively communicate with Residents, guests, employees, and supervisors

· Must be able to work weekends, Holidays and for pre-planned special events

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to sit, stand for prolong period of time, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch, and twist.
• Must be able to lift and push up to 50 pounds at a time
• Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas, store food and supplies properly 
• Adhere to state and facility food handling regulations, including proper storage, preparation, and serving practices  

Schedule:

Full-time schedule with weekday evening shifts and weekend availability required.
